The following project's goal was to design an app that enhances current user needs and habits before and during travel.
So I started off with interviews (families with kids and flexible disposable income), with the goal of gaining insight to key points of interest, users would want to include in the app.
The insights were gathered and an empathy map was created as a first step. Followed after by a Mind Map, sorting all the insights and potential possibilities.
'Efficient Amy' was the Persona created based on those interviews ...
And a current journey map was set up
The Persona and Journey Map provided the questions to potentially make certain situations better...
"How might we enhance visual research"?
"How might we capitalize on kids' partaking"?
How might we feature 'Proximity' of travel destinations"?

The Principles of the Visual Artifact:
Why?
To provide a fun travel planning app. suitable for the whole family where kids can partake in decision making.
What?
-Upload Photo (ML) and have suggestions based on it/ filters.
-Introduction of VR for a more immersive experience and visualizing.

Native App.’VuPix’ that can be used with a VR Headset or without/360 Single lens.
The Competitive Analysis came next.
With all the previous information, the vision was becoming more clear and a sitemap was set up.
And Sketching, Sketching Sketching...
Then Digitizing those sketches and Digital Wireframes were created on Sketch

Digital WIreframes

Digital Annotations with all the detailed gestures and swiping, press holding and all came after in preparation of development phase.
NEXT STEP...
Moderated Usability testing (both Navigation & A/B testing) is taking part now with the Prototype created in Sketch and Invision. After which, it will head to development and be ready for launch.
