THE WHY?
Showing how helping others is crucial to one’s own mental wellbeing and making it achievable to all regardless of their time constraints. Helping people accomplish their goal of ‘Giving a Hand’ by showing opportunities around them within their availability.
MENTAL WELLBEING = FEELING GOOD ABOUT YOURSELF & WORLD AROUND
Mindnote Planning
Insights after conducting qualitative research:
-People are willing to help most of the time when prompted.
-The word Volunteer has sometimes a negative association to daunting work, or long hours and or hard labor.
-People are more willing to help when they know what the exact chore they are required to do and for how long.
-Filling paper work prior to volunteer work is annoying to many and at times a reason for stopping or dropping it all together.
-There is a small window where people feel the excitement and need to volunteer/ go above and beyond to help someone.
-It's not always easy to find Volunteer/ Helping opportunities as one might think.
Under are the wireframes to main points of the Application.
User would specify 'What Matters' to them/ Causes they believe in, availability (30 minutes/hour increments), Whether they want to be notified or not when the need for help rises.
The option for user to participate alone or with family, kids or friends.
The option for requesting help from community,e.g Help with moving.
Schedule access upon confirming on calendar.
Helping in of itself is rewarding, but as believers in the sense of community, in comes the Mark-o-meter (points for help given), e.g shops in the neighborhood could partner to offer a “drink on us next time you visit". It would be introduced via email or text with QR code saved to User's mobile wallet.

...INNEFICIENT SOLUTIONS
There are various apps, but not efficient or close to what we are offering and they are frustrating to use i.e Helping opportunities right then and there (by the hour) and a compilation of causes.
Currently users google opportunities which are not always easy to find. Fill out dreary forms, wait for a confirmation that could take days by which one might lose steam.
